Multimedia Essay

Modern political leaders handling a disagreement different than the play Julius Caesar. In the play, Julius Ceasar, Brutas and Cassius do not want Ceasar to become a leader. So they killed him. In the Ancient Roman Government if the people do not agree with you or do not want you to become a leader they will kill you. In the U.S Government if we don’t want you to become president most people will not vote for you.

Julius Ceasar was about to become a leader and Cassius did not want him to become a leader. So Cassius got Brutas to agree with him. He made Brutas afraid of the power that Julius was about to gain. Then the townspeople agreed with Brutas about Julius’s power was too much. So instead of not allowing him to become a leader, they killed him instead.

Donald Trump has made many mistakes in the office, but instead of killing him because we don’t agree what he is doing we decide to vote him out instead. Now if you kill a president because you don’t agree with them you can go to jail for a long time. Donald Trump has moved immigrants without paperwork out of America, and many people do not agree with him, but they do not harm him at all.

Our modern-day government is different from the Ancient Roman government because you can’t kill the leader/President because you do not agree with their decisions. In U.S history there have been assassinations like JFK, Abraham Lincoln, and President Garfield. The people that assassinated these presidents not get away free they were caught for their actions. Now in modern-day government vs Ancient Roman Government is very different we have evolved to know that killing for a disagreement is, not the right way.

AotW (evaluating and tracking central Idea)

The central idea of the text is that “stealing always leads to a consequence.” In the article, someone kept stealing his Amazon box on his porch so one day he set a trap to get the person back. The next time the thief touches the box a lot of glitter and glue will hit him/her in the face.

The thief has suffered a punishment, but it was not as bad of punishment as other thieves, some of them end up in jail or worse prison. In the article the owner of the Amazon boxes that are being stolen set up a trap that will hit the robber with something that stinks really bad. He used some high technology to get back the person who was stealing.

Now Amazon is protecting their deliveries by teaming up with law enforcement. They are testing to people by leaving a box outside of houses and they are waiting to see if someone is going to steal the boxes or whatever it is in the box.

So I chose this central idea because when someone is caught stealing a box off someone’s porch they are going to jail or if the thing in the box is very expensive they could be sent to prison.  So when someone does steal they have to deal with a consequence if they are caught.

Aotw (Creative Writing)

There was a boy that had to deal with an enemy which was his stepbrother. They do not like each other because of the situation they were in. One brother’s mom left him when he was younger and the other one’s father went to prison and was not getting out for years.

Will’s father had robbed a store when Will was 5 and he missed his father very much, but his mom moved on. Tim’s mom left when he was 7 and it took his father a while to get over it. They both grew up different Will stayed in a very wealthy neighborhood, Tim stayed in a bad neighborhood where there was a lot of crime. They soon moved in with each other because of their parents’ situation.

They weren’t the center of attention anymore between each parent. They had to learn how to share their attention. They avoided each other for a long time because they did not like each other. They are avoiding conflict. When they avoid each other like that they are growing apart. This means if they keep avoiding each other they are just going to be just as unhappy.

The heart of a basketball player vs the heart of a football player (Passion)

There are many differences between these two sports. One is very fast past and the other one has a lot of contacts. Many people’s hearts for each sport are different. In this blog, I will talk about a player from each sport and show how they are passionate about their sport.

Kobe Bryant is very passionate about basketball. Before a very important game, Kobe would have a workout for 4 hrs then he would go out and play. Kobe Bryant worked to perfect his game. He works harder than just about every player in the NBA. Kobe was destined for greatness he is the son of Joe “Jellybean” Bryant. When Kobe’s dad had to play for the Italian league so that cause Kobe to live in Italy for years. When Kobe was drafted to the laker in 1996. Kobe would do anything for his team to win including dropping 81 POINTS!!

Ray Lewis is very passionate about football. Ray Lewis has been named one of the best linebackers to ever play the game.  He was drafted in 1995 to the Baltimore Raven. He has the heart of a football player which is to do whatever you have to do to win.

These players showed heart and passion for their sport. Kobe put in lots of work to get there because he loved the sport.

Low wages, sexual Harassment and Unreliable Tips This is life in America’s Booming Service Industry

Harassment

Why do people harass people the way they do? Harassing people is not a good thing. People have to go to jail for harassment like YouTuber Prettyboyfredo. He was harassing people with a paintball gun. He did this just to entertain his subscribers.

The New kid

There was a new kid he was not like everyone else. He did not look like everyone else or act the same way. So somedays people will harass him because of the way he looked and acted. Harassment is never good it can lead to bad things like a person harming themselves. The kid went to school every day and made average grades. The boy was ambidextrous (He is able to use his left hand and right hand the same way). The other kid bullied and harassed him for it. The kids gaped when they have seen the kid. They also Warily him before getting to know him. The kids were insidious on how they treated him.

Conclusion

Harassment is never a good thing. It can lead to very bad things like drugs, and depression. So don’t bully people or treat them badly for something they do wrong or if something is wrong with them it is not right.

The Graying of America (AOTW)

The Graying of America

We have not to notice that America is going to gray. The article says that ” the number number of Americans 65 and older is projected to nearly double by 2060.” in 2014 the people 65 or older made up 15% of America, but as in 16 years that 15% will turn into 24%. The percent of 65-year-olds is steadily growing. The article says that in the year 2035″ the number of those 65 and older will surpass Americans under the age of 18 for the first time in years.

The Transformation

Americans are living longer, there is an increase in baby boomers by the thousands. In the article “baby boomers are turning 65 at a rate of between 8,000, to 10,000 a day.” In about 11 years America is going to be old most American are going to be 65 and retiring which means more jobs to be filled.

The Problem with Graying of America

The problem is people are retiring. Which means more jobs are going to be open, and most of the time people don’t have the right potential to be good at that job.

why do people film bad situations? (AOTW)

How would you feel if someone film you in a bad situation? People now use their phone to record fights, bulling, or you just falling from a flood etc. Most people film them because they just want to laugh about something and being thankful it is not them fighting.

Step In

How would you feel if you were the one getting bullied, and people are standing there just filming you? If i were the one getting bullied I would at least want someone to help. People don’t understand if you are filming or just watching you are just as guilty as the bully.

Bystander effect

In the article “Why do people film others in distress instead of helping?” an older man was struggling to stand against rushing water. There was a person standing there filming him instead of helping him. I know some people film fights so they can go back and look at them and have a quick laugh. The bystander effect is when a person is less likely to help some one in distress.

So the overall theme of this blog is, why do people film others in stressful situations? How can the outcome change if the the bystander just would help? Are their positive outcomes from helping?

I did not know how you wanted me to make this blog so I did it like I did last year

Can Human mortality be hack

Human Mortality being hacked

Can technology really hack people? The argument of this passage is why can’t technology expand the life span of a human. In the passage, we read students used pills or treatment that were used to restore youthfulness. Humans can be transformed from bioengineering.

Can it really work

I don’t believe human morality can be hacked. Based on the article a patient has turned 45 and now he thinks he will live to 180 years old,  but he has to take daily medication. Taking medication daily is not good because there could be health defects. As the patient age, they can have damage to their chromosomal DNA, patients have also developed plaques on their brain which is also Alzheimer disease.

My thoughts on Morality being Hacked

I like the thought of morality being hacked, but they could use it in good ways or bad ways like lowering someones odds of living longer without it being hacked. In the article, people want to install hardware inside of them so they can live even longer they are abusing the use of hacked morality.

Ditch your phone

It is hard for people to ditch their phone because they are addicted to them. There is a very bad phone addiction in America. It is hard for people to read books, it is the same way for me I’m not addicted to my phone I just don’t like to read the ones that are not interesting to me. This Blog is all about how phone addiction is a bad thing. Image result for phone addiction

        Phone addiction

People get very angry when they break their phone or get it token up. Having to unhook your mind from the painful routine of getting on the phone. If I get on my phone it is to check messages, watch videos, or play music. Next section talks about the things you miss while being on the phone.

      Missing valuable things

If you are a father/mother you can miss your child’s first words or their first steps, being on the phone at birthday parties you would not have fun looking at a screen 24/7. You lose conversation with family friends just because you are constantly texting. In restaurants, people would buy a meal and just take a picture of it and won’t even eat it.  It is like now people have to have the new iPhone like the iPhone XR or something like that, it is like people are handcuffed to their phones. People are in college getting their education and there is one person who is constantly on their phone.
